computers : From the past to the present

Today's practice is about the improvements done by lots of people on computers.

First of all , Chinese invented the abacus, a primitive tool that, nowadays, is only used by children. then , the progress has increased exponentially. From Pascal's Pascaline, to IBM, INTEL, and obviously Microsoft and Apple, finishing on the today's HI-TECH machines.

The fathers of computing were Pascal, Babbagge and Wilhelm, but they lived in a non-modern era, and their progress was really limited by this.

The begginning of what we could call as 'modern computing' , started in the last 1980's and early 1900, with the application of punched cards in computing. This, and specially the binary code, were the most important things in computing during these years.
Nowadays, Microsoft, and specially Apple, are developing computer systems that Pascal and his 'friends' would never have imagined...
